Matt Kilrain Boats I took this Fairliner that was owned by a dead person for $1, under the conditions that I could have a pretty nice Coronado 27' for $1. I put an outboard on the Fairliner and brought her up to Santa Barbara and then sold the Coronado for $2,000 and brought her up to Santa Barbara. I advertised the Fairliner for $500 and a bum named Hobo with a dog named Dreamer gave me $340 and promised to give me the other $160 soon. Hobo named the boat Dreamer, after his dog. I gave him the title and a ride out to the boat, but he got sick and I don't think he's going to be going out there anymore. I doubt if I'll be getting my $160. I'm glad the boat's registered to a dead person instead of me. I hope nothing bad happens, but I don't feel real good about selling the boat to Hobo.
